Although small in size, Brant-Argyle offers a variety of programs to its 45 students. This year we accomplished the following:
- Split grades were changed to multi-level classrooms.
- A Grade 5 outcome based report card was created and implemented for terms 1 & 2.
- Students developed and presented a number of power point presentations about multi-level classrooms.
- A brochure was created to promote our newly designated unique programming at Brant Argyle School. School of Choice no longer applies to our school.
- All Day Kindergarten will be piloted in 2011– 2011
Social Justice
As well, this year, we focussed on social justice issues and raised money for the following:
- Terry Fox Cancer Foundation
- Diabetes Research
- Vitamins for Kids - Flying Doctors of Canada
- Entertained our community with our Christmas Concert and at the Annual Argyle Spring Tea
- Celebrated Earth Day by cleaning up our community and distributing energy wise light bulbs
Improving Mathematics
This year we returned to a 2 grade split in Mathematics. Text books and workbooks were purchased at the grade 8 level to ensure quality programming for our students.
Universal Design teaching strategies were infused into the multi-level classrooms.

Adding a greenhouse and classroom seedling lights.
Our student council organized a number of activities throughout the year. The students all took part in, and enjoyed Milk Spirit Week, Halloween, Christmas Activities, and more. Our parents organized a fun day, which was enjoyed by all students and staff. We also took part in a number of field trips, including 2 plays by Manitoba Theatre For Young People,, Lilac Resort, Quarry Park, Grade 5 Heritage Day, and Farm Safety Day.
