Make an ordinary tote special and fun to carry. This project painted with acrylic paints on heavy weight canvas will be taught at a beginner level, yet a fun class for all levels of painters. A material fee of $25 (payable to the instructor) includes the tote, paints and all materials to complete the project, including loaner brushes. Please bring paper towel to class. This textured and decoupage combined project is a stress free fun for non –painters and painters alike. So bring a friend and come and have a memorable day out. A material fee of $25 (payable to the instructor) includes, canvas, paints and all materials to complete this project, including loaner brushes. Please bring a blow dryer and paper towel to class.

 W12/43 Stained Glass (Beginners)
Have fun while learning the basics of stained glass using the copper and foil method. You’ll be making a fabulous 10 x 12 panel to hang in your window. You will be able to choose from 3 or 4 designs! A sample is on display at the Continuing Education office. You will be required to purchase your own glass cutter (b/w $10 & $60) and glass pieces (between $50 & $90) which can be purchased directly from the instructor, Heather Dawson. Appropriate for ages 15 and up. Ages 15-16 must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring eye protection.

W12/44 Jewelry Fusing - Beginner (stained glass)
Let your creativity flow while creating wearable fused glass art! Students will make one pendants using colored and dichroic glass, stringers, noodles and powders, as well as equipment to cut and shape the class. Course fee includes materials and use of tools. Please bring eye protection and your own cutter if you own one.

Next step in jewelry fusing for those who have taken Beginner Jewelry Fusing and who have glass cutting skills. Students will make a number of pendants, using colored and dichroic glass, etching cream and engraving tools to add designs to the dichroic coating. Course fee includes materials and use of tools. Please bring eye protection and your own cutter (if you own one).

Impress yourself, family and friends. Learn to design and create easy wire-wrapped rings. You will LOVE these rings and easily be able to go home and make lots more when you're done this class! This class will teach you three techniques of wire-wrapping rings: beaded rings, swirl rings and cluster rings
You will learn the basics about wire types, gauges, basic jewelry making tools, ring sizing, cost effective places to buy supplies and will be shown more creative ring ideas to do at home. You will make at least 3 rings and as many more that you like during the class time. Tools will be loaned to you for this afternoon class.
All supplies, printed instructions (with pictures) and gift pouch provided.

W12/47 Wire Crochet & beaded multi strand bracelet
What better way to spend a winter afternoon! Can be dressed up or down; delicate or funky, depending on the beads you choose.
Techniques: Connect strands, finish ends, attach clasp, and crochet with wire adding beads - one simple stitch. No experience needed.
Thickness will depend on number of strands finished- expect at least 4-5 strands. Choice of beads: glass, semi precious stones, real pearls, crystals and nice solid clasp.
Bonus: Learn how to use the same technique to make earrings and necklaces. The instructor will share where she buys supplies in Winnipeg and online, some money savings resources and more. !

Drawing Classes
“Interest is more important than talent.” In this eight-week class, participants will learn the basics of drawing (line, form, shade, proportion and perspective) using pencil, charcoal and chalk. You will learn how to draw people, animals, objects, scenery and more. All participants will work at their own level with guidance from instructor, Wayne Stinson. All levels of experience, from absolute beginner to advanced, are welcome. Supplies can be purchased at the first class for approximately $15 - $25.

Scrapbooking Workshop
This class is for anyone who wants to create an inspiring album of cherished pictures, but doesn't know where to begin. Don't let those special Christmas pictures get lost in a pile> Learn the basics about tools & supplies, how to get organized, sort pictures and understand the basic elements of good design to create a unique and lasting album for generations to enjoy. Class fee includes a SampinUp! Class kit of embellishments, printed paper and card-stock. Please bring a pencil, eraser, acid free adhesive and a paper trimmer if you have it. Also, most importantly bring 4-6 photos of the same event/theme and you will be able to leave with a completed 2 page layout. Instructor: Adele Petri.
