W12/73 Food Handlers’ Certification
This course is recommended for anyone looking for a job in, or presently working in, the food services industry. Learn the principles of safe food handling and upon successful completion, receive a City of Winnipeg Level 1 Food Handling Certificate (valid for 5 years). This certificate is recognized across Canada. The Sanitation Code Book is available from the Manitoba Restaurant Association, 103-D Scurfield Blvd. Phone: 783-9955 for $10.

W12/73A Emergency First Aid & C.P.R.
Be fully trained for any emergency! This course combines the CPR – Infant and Child and CPR Heart Saver courses with the First Aid course. The CPR Heart Saver portion will focus on prevention and recognizing risk factors, but you will also learn how to perform one-person cardio pulmonary resuscitation and how to assist someone who is choking. The First Aid component deals with learning basic skills required for dealing with common household accidents and life-threatening situations. Participants will learn how to deal with bleeding, absence of breath, shock, poisons and burns.
