VISION STATEMENT

We at Grosse Isle School will foster a safe environment that encourages life - long learning, respect and appreciation for all in order to prepare students to reach their full potential and to become productive members of society.

ABOUT OUR SCHOOL

Grosse Isle School is a middle years school (grades 5 - 8) located in a rural community just off of highway #6 and path 321.

 We currently have registered 44 students as follows:
Gr. 5 - 11 students Gr. 6 - 6 students Gr. 7 - 10 students Gr. 8 - 17 students

Grosse Isle School has 3 teaching classrooms, a multi-purpose room used for music and teaching, a gym, and a library/computer lab.

We have a staff of 3.67 teachers, a Secretary, 3 Part Time Educational Assistants and a Custodian.

 Grosse Isle School provides the provincially approved programs in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, French, Music, Physical Education and Art.

 In addition we offer the following:
Resource/Student Services             Life Skills Program             Information Technology
Guidance Counselling Services             Divisional Sports             Intramural Sports             Family Life Education

ACCESS TO SCHOOL

If your son/daughter forgets something at school there is usually someone at school during the late afternoon to help you out. However, staff is not available during the late evening or on weekends to re-open the school. Please remind your son/daughter to check to make sure they have everything they need at the end of the day, and we will do the same at school. Thanks for your co-operation.
