Track And Field

May is the beginning of Track and Field practices in the mornings, at breaks and after school. A schedule of practice times will be given to the students. The divisional track meet is scheduled to take place on Friday, June 1, 2012 in Stonewall with the rain date set for Monday, June 4. Good luck to all participants!

Clothing and Shoes

Now that the warmer weather is upon us, here is a quick reminder to parents about warm weather clothing options. Shorts must be longer than your “finger tips” and tops must have lasagna straps (at least 2 fingers wide) as opposed to spaghetti straps. Students are encouraged to bring a pair of socks to school for the days that they wear sandals so that students are not ending up with bare feet in their inside runners. Sandals or flip flops are not proper gym footwear and your child may have to sit out of an activity for safety reasons if they are not wearing proper footwear.

Spend your summer at Oak Hammock Marsh. The Interpretive Centre is offering weeklong camps for children ages 5 – 13 in July and August.
